Last weekend was very social for me: a visit to the Triple A; a visit with Lucas and Valerie; a visit with Stephanie, Max, and Daisy; and a visit with Family #2. While it was certainly nice to visit with all of aforementioned it was also a bit overwhelming. Consequently, I’ve spent a lot of time since then alone–going back to my introverted roots–and it has been great. I’ve watched some television (Seinfeld, naturally), downloaded and watched some television shows, and re-commenced use of my Total Gym (yes–she knows about it now. It’s not a secret anymore). Hopefully I can ride this introvert wave to get back into reading.
An exciting weekend awaits: Talladega, Family Guy season 4 premier, and (on Tuesday) the NIN album release. Oh yeah, it’s also the weekend that Triple H will become the 11-time world heavyweight champion. Sweet deal.
Things at work are starting to ramp-up. We’ve got some major development to do in he next few months and I think we’re about to see some big steps towards that in the next two weeks. I’m excited about this, to say the least.
Hey kids. I’m sorry I haven’t updated in a while. I’ve wanted to more than a few times–sometimes even about something interesting! A lot of exciting things have happened to, and around, me in the past couple of weeks, also. Unfortunately, all of that’s been overshadowed by some badness. I’ll get through it.
One of the things I’m very excited about is the new NIN album. I came across a copy on Friday when I got home from work and that put me in a great mood–so much so that I made a fairly substantial purchase to support the full enjoyment of the upcoming release. After listening to the album for the weekend I thought I would categorize how I feel about the songs on the album. I think it’ll be interested to compare this to how I feel about the songs in the future (after they’ve grown on me).
Songs I like a lot:
All the Love in the World
You Know What You Are?
Every Day Is Exactly the Same
With Teeth
Only
Beside You In Time
Right Where It Belongs
Home
Songs I like a little less:
The Collector
The Hand that Feeds
Love Is Not Enough
Getting Smaller
The Line Begins To Blur
Songs I still like, but not as much as the above
Sunspots
That was more difficult than I thought. Let’s see what the list looks like in a few weeks when I’ve had time to listen to the album longer.
Today was a hilarious day, the highlight of which was a trip to Costco. I drove around, aimlessly, and fought through crowds of people on the street and in the shops. No really interesting stories come to mind, except for me missing out on the cold mug of rootbeer at A&W because Mr. Stevens scored the last one. Jerk.
Pope John Paul II died today. I’m not a Catholic so his being the Pope doesn’t mean much to me. He was a good man to the world, though, and that affects all of us. The world has lost a good man.
Don’t forget that the time has come to conserve our daylight here in North America. While the rest of the world started last weekend, we start tonight. Feel free to read this informational website about daylight saving.
