This is a 1.3kg bag of M&M’s. I plan on using them in making GORP as a snack. Normally I strongly prefer Smarties, but Smarties are about $2.50 for 200g; the M&M’s were a much better value because they were a Real Price Drop.
CHOC MILK 1.99
On sale this week at the Real Canadian Superstore is 2L cartons of chocolate milk for only $1.99. You don’t need me to tell you that is a fantastic price.
SOURCE YOGURT 1.99
Another Real Price Drop, I don’t have a favourite kind of yogurt so I tend to just go with what’s cheap; actually, I go with what is on special. If two competing products are on special for the same low price I will go with the one that has the flavour I like first, and second I’ll go with the one that offers a more significant savings when compared to its original price.
NORDICA COTT 3.33
Yet another Real Price Drop: cottage cheese. I go through about a kilogram of cottage cheese a week. It’s awesome stuff.
PC BM CELEB MARG 0.99
I don’t use a lot of butter or margarine. I keep both. This week I approached the end of my margarine container after making some popcorn. I picked up this PC branded margarine because it was a Real Price Drop. Another product that I don’t use enough to care about the quality.

Cucumber on sale at the Superstore. You can’t beat this price.
GRN SWT PEPPER 0.40
Superstore still. Green peppers were on sale so I picked one up. I think they were 69c per pound. Red peppers were also on sale but at about three times the price. Red peppers are good, but sale green peppers are better!
NESQUICK MLKSHAKE 0.99
Almost out of habit I now drink one of these half-litre bottles of chocolate milk as I browse the wares at the Superstore. I had two of them in my cart–one to bring home–when I realized that I will have 2L of chocolate milk at a much better price than this product offered.
EGG LARGE BROWN 2.59
At Loeb I purchased a dozen brown eggs because I want to bake chocolate chip cookies. Yes, I paid extra for the brown eggs.
GREEN BEANS 0.58
Green beans are on sale at Loeb! I picked up enough for 2 or 3 people in a meal for the bargain price of 58 cents! Amazing. I love green beans.

These are two of your typical freezer-pizzas. They’re good for days when you come home from work and don’t want to prepare anything. Much cheaper than eating out and you typically have some left over for lunch the next day.
CHIPITS 5.66
Wal-Mart now. Chipits are the key ingredient to making chocolate chip cookies. I bought a kilogram of them so that I would have chocolate chips to use in the future. Muffins, pancakes, cereal–they’re multi-functional.
MILK 3.57
I buy my milk at Wal-Mart because it’s cheap. It’s not the best milk but I drink enough of it that cost is a factor. I personally drink one bag (1.33 L, approx.) in two days from home (not counting glasses I might steal at work, get at restaurants, or drink while browsing the Superstore).
DEMP WW HO 1.65
I purchased some whole wheat hot dog buns. I’m trying to use meat I have in my freezer (you’ll notice I didn’t buy any today, even though both the Superstore and Loeb had great sales on some cuts). This includes hot dogs. I’m going to have hot dogs this week. Maybe even hot dogs cut up in Kraft Dinner. Mmmm.

Coke family. You understand. This was 12 x 355 mL cans from Wal-Mart. Great price.
