1000

When I rolled into my apartment building parking garage this afternoon the odometer read 3268, which is in miles because the bike is American. When I bought the motorcycle it had 2268 miles on it which makes this the 1000 mile mark. I had hit another milestone before last weekend, just before my trip to Kingston: 1000 kilometres. The 1000 kilometre mark meant my first chain clean and lube; the 1000 mile mark is nothing more than an interesting personal milestone.

I’m actually quite excited about 4536 miles: doubling what was on the odometer when I bought the bike. I imagine I’ll get there sooner than I’ll even know it. Mother’s Day will bring about another trip to Kingston, and getting my M2 will allow me to travel at night. I’ll also be riding to-and-fro school two nights a week soon, in addition to riding to work on weekdays. I was so bold as to ride on wet pavement today; next step is riding in the rain.
