Last night I hosted a dinner in my resurrected dining room. It was awesome. The dinner featured delicious salmon steaks, rice, and steamed broccoli. I should also mention that it was preceded by some feta pate.
Mike was there and that made me feel pretty good. It connected the old use of the dining room with the new. It felt like I was able to say “you can still use this space, in a different way.”
Four of us played a wicked game of Milles Bornes. My team did pretty well. Team playing is more difficult than single player play because you don’t know what is in your partner’s hand and your opponent has twice as many cards, but it is fun in a different way.
