I would like to write two things quickly: first, it is strange to receive guests and have them be so excited over things that are so normal to you. Perhaps I have been spoiled by being sent to Germany a couple of times for work. Don’t get me wrong: I am excited to have MK and Zout here. I am amazed that someone would travel so far to visit me (I was amazed that Katy did, too), even if it’s just to use me as a convenient (and free) home base.
And on a related note, I don’t understand taking a photo of the arrivals board that has your flight listed. Again, maybe I’m spoiled, but I usually don’t want to spend any more time in the airport.
The second thing is, I think I am feeling stress about work. I think this happened somewhat recently, which makes this more troubling. Unfortunately I cannot place it exactly so it might be about work in general. I am in Ulm for a few days before some vacation; perhaps after the time off I can refocus on goals for the rest of my work here.
