There are still some things that I want to do before I leave Germany/Europe. These things include, but are not limited to:
– buying some Adidas trainers
– visiting the Canadian Vimy Memorial
– spend a weekend in Berlin
– visit Munich again, hopefully for work
– buying a set of Professional S Henckel knives
Looking at my calendar, the number of weekends I will have left is shrinking. The next five weekends will be Alpencross training focused, with at least a barbecue and an 80 km relay (4x 20km) in the mix. Then two weekends dedicated to the Alpencross (and, maybe, seeing the Tour de France riders if we’re back in time–but that’s doubtful). I will then take an “off” weekend before my next weekend where I am going to Spain.
That leaves me with 8 weekends. My second last weekend will be the Einstein marathon in Ulm. My final weekend will likely be busy with a mix of doing final preparations here, and saying farewell to the great people who have made my stay here exceptional. This leaves me with six free weekends, one of which should be Vimy and the other should be Berlin. Not too much free time, I’m afraid. Time is crazy.
A year in Germany, nice! Any chance you’ll come back after this year?
