I am sitting in Frankfurt Airport waiting for my flight to Madrid. For some reason I booked a train that arrived really, really early and I have multiple hours to kill before my flight departs. I am writing with two hours before take off now.
I have killed time by first trying to fly stand-by on an earlier flight; then visiting Starbucks (never has a grande two-pump iced white mocha tasted so good); then a trip to the pharmacy. Experience tells me that there is nothing waiting for me on the other side of security so I am waiting in the main hall. I have made my way over to hall C in Terminal 1 where Air Canada’s check-in is.
My flight for Madrid departs at 13:50; when looking at the board I saw the familiar AC839, departure time of 13:45, when it hit me that I will be back here in only 9 weeks for my fifth and final flight before I return to Ottawa. Time is so interesting because when I look at 9 weeks right now it is a scary-short amount of time.
I see a sign up at Air Canada about upgrades starting from €499. I’m going to look into this. Maybe I can upgrade my flight back to Ottawa. Even better, maybe I can expense it for a job-well done.
my god those iced grande two pump white mocha light ice lattes are life-changing!
