I am now a novice salsa dancer.
I have completed an eight-week level 1 salsa dancing course. Our big finale was “sweethearts”, which the ladies were very excited to learn. There were figure eights, push-pull-turns, various steps, and a pile of moves that I don’t know the name of.
I will not be continuing on to level 2. I am not a dancer. I appreciate the experience, but I do not desire it to continue. During the lesson I was literally looking at the clock, happy to see that another 15 minutes had passed.
The class was excellent–fun, comfortable, informal, but informative. I would highly recommend Dance With Alana if you’re interested in Dance lessons in Ottawa. They’re good people.
