Hi Internet,
I have posted some new photosets to my Flickr account. In chronological order, MK’s Surprise 30th Birthday, Bluesfest 2011, and from a trip to Aventure Lafleche’s aerial adventure. It is worth noting that these events all took place before Stephanie worked her magic on my hair, which is now beautiful. None-the-less, they [...]

This year I did something that I’ve wanted to do for a few years now: I purchased “festival passes” to the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest and went every day*. I had the pleasure of Will’s company for the majority of the festival, too–it’s not the sort of thing you want to do alone. The purpose [...]

Hello friends and randoms,
The National Capital Marathon is nearly upon us and I am about to inflict unexpected agony on my body. To help ease the pain I will pass the time listening to music, which should be both motivational and upbeat. The last marathon I ran included some tracks suggested by you [...]

Tonight while driving home I was singing along to a Taylor Swift song so loudly that I checked the floor in my back seat to make sure a mugger wasn’t present as I would have been mighty embarrassed.

When I was with Katy in London I would point out the Starbucks that was visible from every entrance to the Tube. When Evan, Matt, Kevin, and I are in Prague we would “Czech In” every morning to Starbucks in Wenceslas Square. Last winter Adam, Eric, and I would enjoy the occasional 7 a.m. Starbucks trip before work. I visited Jill many times at Starbucks, even sharing her excitement in having some of her photos on display there. A photo of Tiffany is on display in the very Starbucks that she so happily works at. Muis, Foran, Gilles, Misha, Gervais, Joel, and I will relieve our minds from the grip of work with the occasional trip to the Starbucks a mere 300 metres walk from the office. My first apartment was right over a Starbucks in Kingston.

I have installed in-wall speakers in my dining room!
You may recall that I bought a pair of JBL LS326W in-wall speakers for my dining room. A little over a month ago I bought a bunch of in-wall speaker wire, volume controls, distribution box, etc. to start wiring this up. Today I finally did [...]

This past weekend Adam J. and I decided to follow Built to Spill through some of the Northeastern US. Our journey started on Friday morning, driving through Montreal. We decided to stop in Montreal to get some Boustan’s, even waiting an extra half-an-hour until it opened at 11 a.m. We each got a veggie [...]

Last night I had the pleasure of attending “A Piano Celebration” at the NAC. It was a great performance–the first in the Signature Series for the 2010-2011 orchestra season. I enjoyed it so much that I have become even more upset that I will miss the orchestra’s performance of Mozart’s “Triple Crown”–symphonies 39, 40, [...]

I just got one of my subwoofers back. It was on loan to someone, as I wasn’t using it. With it being returned I realized that I currently have three subwoofers. And I’m not talking the small subwoofer that comes with a pair of computer speakers (I have one of those, too). I’m talking [...]

I am really excited about some sound gear I have ordered. Allow me to take you on a tour. As valuable background information: I will be moving in a few weeks and will have some rooms that I don’t have speakers for.
My current surround sound setup will go in the basement with the [...]
