Today is the day of the Badische Meile in Karlsruhe. This is an 8.88889 km run throughout the city of Karlsruhe. The distance is quite manageable; I haven’t run in some time but I have been on the bicycle a few times lately so I hope that I will be fit enough to do [...]

I don’t really consider myself to be a sporty guy, but I will say that when I do sport I prefer to be properly equipped.
This morning I bicycled to work and it was fairly chilly out–about 8 degrees. I know that it is supposed to go up to 23 degrees today so I [...]

Thursday, March 26, 2009.
It’s approximately 9 p.m. Less than one hour ago I was still at work. I’m hardcore like that.

Two pieces of whole-wheat toast with peanut butter; two hard-boiled eggs; one banana; three glasses of water; and, one glass of milk. The Badische Eröffnungsfahrt [...]

I ran another 7 km today, bringing my 1 week total to 53 km! Amazing. I’ll take a break tomorrow, run a bit on Saturday, and then go [...]

Another run, this time the usual 12.5 km route. Great weather–shorts and a t-shirt. I’ve run a total of 46 km in 5 days! I think I’ll top 50 in 7 and by then I hope to be on a bicycle for more kilometres than I spend on my legs.

Did I mention that I have registered for the Einstein Marathon near the end of September? It is six months away and I need to start thinking about it. In addition I have the Badische Eröffnungsfahrt next weekend (a bicycle tour 76 km), a 4×20 km relay run called the naked run in June, [...]

It is already the very last day of February.
Today it was +13°C here in Waldbronn. It was sunny and beautiful. I walked around the village a bit, opting out of running so that I will be able to bicycle tomorrow. I walked over to Waldbronn Rathouse, then to the Kurpark, to Etzenrot, then [...]
